River Kwan is a young man who lives in a world where magickind and psychics have an uneasy coexistence. He is affiliated with the Esper Collective, a worldwide community of psychics who work together to conceal the world's mysteries from normal humans and to protect themselves and each other from people who want to use them for their ends. No one can govern the espers except themselves.

Normally, River's day job is as a personal trainer since he is passionate about fitness and helping others meet their health goals. Under the surface, he's an off-the-grid doctor. Yes, he technically has a medical license but his practice is extremely private. This is because River is an esper with powerful energy healing abilities. He can heal the most serious of major wounds and injuries but on top of that, he can remove diseases from the body, even ones with no known cure.

The only drawback is the disease he removes turns on him and makes River sick for weeks even to the point of death.

Though it pains him to not be able to aid everyone who suffers, he has to remind himself that he is only one man and there are many selfish people who want River to suffer for their own benefit. He tries to keep his abilities under wraps so only the most in-the-know witches and espers are aware of what he's capable of.

River is a happy-go-lucky and nurturing guy who finds it hard to turn away those in need. Just don't take advantage of him and you got yourself an easygoing friend who will spot you at the gym and heal your bullet wound.
